Mr. Christian Wimmer has studied Business Administration at the University of Economics in Vienna and Forest Engineering at the University of Forestry in Vienna.
He holds an Executive MBA from Hayward University in California USA.
In the past 20 years, Mr. Wimmer has worked for international corporations in the sector of FMCG – Fast Moving Consumer Goods – and quick service, sanitary and heating systems, building materials and chemicals.
The focus of his activities as CEO and member of the Management Board was business development and M&A, restructurings projects, sector consolidation and portfolio company integration in CEE.
He started his professional career at the chemical corporations Dow Corning and Vosschemie, where he was responsible for setting up the sales and distribution network in CEE.
During his tenure at BPB Industries pls from 1994 to 1996, his focus was on building both the industrial structure and the distribution channels in CEE.
Between 1996 and 2000, he developed Caradon Plumbing Europe in CEE, covering 12 countries in the region including Turkey, based on geographic expansion and mergers and acquisitions.
In 2000, the consolidated, best-in-class industrial group was sold to HSBC Private Equity.
From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Christian Wimmer worked for the McDonald´s Corporation as a member of the Bard of Directors for Central Europe and Managing Director for Austria.
During his time at McDonald´s he led the 12-month reorganisation process of Frisch and Frost Group, a core supplier of McDonald´s, and expanded the McDonald´s network into 18 countries in the CEE region.
In 2005 he cofounded Wing Equity Management GmbH.
Mr. Wimmer has been member of the board and partner of CAPEXIT since October 2007.
