Colin J. Tuggle

Mr. Colin J.
Tuggle is a Principal at Sable Lion Ventures LLC.
Previously, Mr. Tuggle was involved in the formative stages of LogiKeep, Inc., the pioneer of network security intelligence.
He conducted competitive analysis and venture capital due diligence for the company until its acquisition in 2001 by Vigilinx, Inc. – an early stage VC-funded information security firm.
At Vigilinx, Mr. Tuggle served as the Director of the Knowledge Products Division (information content products).
He was directly responsible for client services, sales training, partner support, and product development strategies for this industry-leading security intelligence service.
Divisional revenue increased 500% during his 2-year tenure with Vigilinx, closing sales with leading Fortune 500 companies and large government organizations.
His efforts also led to winning a groundbreaking contract from The Federal Computer Incident Response Center (FedCIRC), now part of the U.S.
Department of Homeland Security.
As a former Naval Officer, Mr. Tuggle’s military background is diverse.
His six years of active duty service included the management of $150 million of assets at a Navy hovercraft unit, the direction of a 70-person team for the decommissioning of a guided missile destroyer, and the development of the classified anti-terrorism tactics for the Navy’s surface warfare community.
Mr. Tuggle is a graduate of the U.S.
Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and holds MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship from Regent University.
At Regent, he was the recipient of the Howard Long Award in recognition of leadership and academic excellence.
