Diego Fernandez

Diego Fernandez is a Managing Director on our Lower Middle Market investment team.
Since joining Main Street in 2013, Mr. Fernandez has previously served on our investment team in various roles from Senior Analyst to Director.
Mr. Fernandez’s responsibilities include managing a portfolio of Lower Middle Market investments where he is an active board member and assists those companies with various strategic initiatives, capital raises and M&A activity.
He is also responsible for originating and executing on new investments for the firm.
Mr. Fernandez also currently serves as a Managing Director of MSC Income Fund, Inc., a business development company that is managed by MSC Adviser I, LLC, our wholly owned portfolio company and a registered investment adviser.
Before joining Main Street, Mr. Fernandez worked for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was involved in the origination, structuring and execution of leveraged loans and high yield bonds for various industries
