Mr. Childs has deep operating experience at all stages of company development, primarily within information technology infrastructure, Internet and telecommunications companies.
Prior to joining Pilot House,Mr. Childs ran product marketing as the Vice President of Product Management of MCK Communications.
During his tenure, MCK successfully grew annual revenue to more than $45 million.
He was also a member of the leadership team that executed a successful IPO in 1999, [MCK was subsequently acquired by Verso (VRSOD).
Before MCK, Mr. Childs helped launch Interchange Online Network, an early electronic publishing platform and online service created by Ziff Davis Interactive.
The company was purchased by AT&T in 1995.
He has been an entrepreneur and has been involved with emerging companies for more than two decades, including Ziff Davis Interactive, Shiva Corporation, Index Technology, and ACT!.
In these companies, he has held a variety of management positions in engineering, support, quality assurance, and product marketing.
He currently sits on the Board of Tazz Networks and PeerApp.
Mr. Childs holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
