Gary Brent Wood

Dr. Gary B.
Wood is a Managing Director at Concorde Financial Corp., a Director & Executive Officer at DTF Corp.
and a President at Concorde Funds, Inc. He is on the Board of Directors at DTF Corp.
He is also the Founder of Concorde.
With over 40 years of asset management and business valuation experience, he also serves as Chairman of the firms’ Investment Policy Committees.
Prior to founding Concorde in 1981, Dr. Wood worked for an independent trust company in Houston, Texas, as an investment and financial advisor.
There, he was responsible for managing the assets of high-net worth clients.
His performance and contribution to the investment policies of the company quickly established him as one of the Southwest’s premier portfolio managers and advisors.
Dr. Wood is a co-founder and Chairman of the Board of International Hospital Corporation, founded in 1991 to develop acute-care hospital facilities, specialty hospitals and specialty clinics that are uniformly managed and branded in Latin America.
Additionally, he is Chairman of the Board of eOriginal, Inc. He has extensive business experience relating to healthcare, software, manufacturing and investment management.
He is currently a member of the Endowment Foundation Investment Committee and Advisory Board for the Children’s Oncology Service of Texas and a board member of Leader Formation International, an International Christian Leadership Development Mission.
Dr. Wood has served as past chairman (in 1988 and 1999) of the Society of International Business Fellows, where he is still a member in good standing.
He was founder and initial chairman of The Health Industry Council (1988-1998), a five county industry promoter and advocacy organization in North Texas.
He received his bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering from Texas Tech University and went on to receive only the third interdisciplinary Ph.D.
awarded by Tech, emphasizing law, business and statistics.
