Privacy International is an organization that provides a guide for policy engagement on data protection called "The Keys to Data Protection". The non-profit company is based in London, UK. The guide aims to help individuals and organizations understand data protection by analyzing the different provisions commonly presented in data protection laws. Privacy International developed the guide based on their experience and expertise on international principles and standards applicable to the protection of privacy and personal data, as well as their research on modern technologies and data processing. The guide is divided into eight parts, covering topics such as data protection principles, the rights of data subjects, and oversight and enforcement structures. Privacy International has been engaging on data protection for the last decade through their work with partners in the Privacy International Network.
