Empirical Financial Services LLC, do-business-as Empirical Wealth Management (EWM), is an independent, SEC-registered investment advisor and wealth management firm headquartered in Seattle, Washington. The firm was founded by Kenneth Smith in 2009 and is a spin-off from Empirical Wealth Management LLC, an Oregon LLC founded by Mr. Smith in 2006. In December 2012, the firm purchased Empirical Wealth Management LLC from the remaining original members, re-merging the two companies as a Washington limited liability company. EWM provides investment advisory services to individuals, high net-worth individuals, pensions and profit sharing plans, charitable organizations, corporations or business entities, trusts, and estates. They also sponsor and provide portfolio management services for a wrap fee program.
