Joseph D. O'Brien

Mr. O'Brien is a founding partner of Petra Capital Partners.
Prior to founding Petra, he was a vice president in the Equities division of Goldman, Sachs & Co., where he was employed for six years.
For two years, he was the marketing director of Boston Global Advisors, a division of Goldman Sachs engaged in securities lending primarily for public and corporate pension plans.
Prior to that, he worked in the Private Client Services Group, where he managed $150 million in public equities, fixed income, derivatives and private investment partnerships.
Before joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. O'Brien was an investment banker at The Robinson-Humphrey Company, a subsidiary of Salomon Smith Barney, where he worked on public offerings, private placements, mergers, acquisitions, and leveraged buyouts.
In addition, Joe was an intern at Noro-Moseley Partners, a $580 million private equity firm in Atlanta.
He earned his M.B.A.
at Harvard Business School and his B.S.
in commerce at the University of Virginia.
