The Group's principal activities are to provide feature films, television, entertainment and other related services in India. The Group operates in three segments. Film Facilities processes raw exposed films, colour correction, editing, digital processing, equipment rental, copying and printing of positive exhibitions prints and trading in raw film rolls. Theatre exhibition operates single screen, multiplex/Imax cinema exhibition and also provides services offered at cinema centers including catering food and beverages. Film Production and Distribution segment provides production and co-production of films and acquisition of movie rights for overseas and Indian distribution.

Reliance MediaWorks Ltd. engages in the media and entertainment business. It operates through the following segments: Film Production Services, Television and Film Production and Distribution, Theatrical Exhibition, and Sales of Precious Metal. The Film Production Services segment comprises of processing of raw exposed films, color correction, editing, digital processing, equipment and facility rental, copying and printing of positive exhibitions prints, and trading in raw film rolls. The Television and Film Production and Distribution segment consists of production of television and film content which is produced and co-produced by the group; and also includes advisory services in relation to the distribution and production of movies and television content. The Theatrical Exhibition segment includes income from the sales of tickets, food and beverages, and advertisement and sponsorships. The Sales of Precious Metal segment deals with trading in precious metals. The company was founded in 1975 and is headquartered in Mumbai, India.
