Folketrygdfondet is the asset management subsidiary of State-owned Ministry of Finance in Norway. The firm was founded in 1967 to manage the surpluses in the National Insurance Scheme. Headquartered in Oslo, Folketrygdfondet received a mandate in 2007 to manage the Government Pension Fund Norway.
