(Invt Port) (ALAS-IP) is the investment portfolio division of Attorneys Liability Assurance Society, Inc., an insurance company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. It was founded in 1979 by its owner-insured law firms to provide a superior source of insurance coverage along with a level of service that cannot be replicated in the commercial marketplace. The firm is a subsidiary of Attorneys’ Liability Assurance Society Ltd. in Bermuda. ALAS-IP manages the insurance investment portfolio.
