Dr. Michael Pfaffermayr is a Senior Economist at Österreichisches Institut für Wirtschaftsforschung.
He is a Professor of Economics at the University of Innsbruck.

Before getting his professorship at the University of Innsbruck, he worked as Senior Economist at WIFO, where he also holds a part-time position as a researcher.
Dr. Michael Paffermayr extensively worked and published in International Economics and Regional Economics, dealing with topics such as international trade and trade policy, foreign direct investment, and regional growth.
He has also published papers in Spatial Econometrics and Panel Econometrics.
He studied at the Universities of Vienna and Linz, holding a doctorate in Economics and Social Sciences from the University of Linz.
