PNV is a hands-on manager which invests in the seed, early-stage and later-stage growth companies primarily in the communications, information technology, semiconductor and medical devices sectors. They act as lead investor in the majority of their transactions, typically investing $1-$4 million, but they also participate as a co-investor in select syndicated investments alongside leading venture capital funds. The firm seeks to invest in businesses whose entrepreneurs have the vision, character, and ambition to build exceptional companies. They are interested in fast-growing emerging markets and aim to invest in companies with the potential to achieve a market leadership position, which address a real, unmet or under-served customer need and which can build a sustainable competitive advantage. PNV partners with their investee companies to develop a sound business strategy and effective organization that will position the business to succeed, providing access to their global partners and network, recruiting senior level executives, developing product, marketing and sales strategies, assessing competition and the marketplace, facilitating strategic partnering opportunities and introducing them to value-added strategic investors.
