Robert C. Ollech

When Mr. Ollech joined Fortress Partners in early 2004, he brought with him more than 20 years of experience in banking regulation, investment research, administration and portfolio management.
His broad knowledge of banks and thrifts and their regulation, combined with his extensive experience in investment research and portfolio management added to Fortress Partners’ expertise in investing in banks and thrifts.
He joined Fortress after six years as vice president of Ziegler, which is a Milwaukee-based investment management firm, where he managed balanced portfolios for high net worth individuals and charitable organizations and co-managed passive and enhanced index products with aggregate assets of $750 million.
Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President and the senior financial services analyst for the brokerage arm of a large Midwestern insurance company.
Mr. Ollech also served as First Vice President and Director of Bank Equity Research at Howe Barnes Investments, Inc. of Chicago, where he identified, analyzed and developed written research on a broad universe of banks of thrifts, primarily within the Midwest.
He began his career with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago where he served for 11 years as an Administrative Examiner and manager in the Supervision and Regulation department, focusing on problem institutions, special projects and national training programs for the Federal Reserve System and managing the professionals responsible for the examination and ongoing supervision of 240 banks and bank holding companies, located primarily in Wisconsin and Illinois.
Mr. Ollech earned a BBA from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire (Magna Cum laude), holds a Uniform Invesment Advisor Law (Series 65) license and was also awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
He is a member of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of Milwaukee
