Rod Mathers

Mr. Rod Mathers is the Chief Executive Officer of Mubadala Infrastructure, the Unit responsible for Mubadala’s surface and social infrastructure projects.
Using sophisticated Public Private Partnerships, Mubadala infrastructure works with world-class partners to fund and deliver state-of-the-art facilities in the education, health, transport and other important infrastructure sectors.
He joined Mubadala in 2004 to assist in the development of the UAE University New Campus PPP Project having spent 5 years in London as a Development Director for a national developer, leading and winning PPP projects in both the education and health sectors.
Prior to that, he spent just over 2 years in Dubai as Marketing Manager for an international contractor.
Rod has over 20 years of design and construction experience, mostly in contracting and development.
He is a Chartered Civil Engineer, has a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering with honours from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, an LLB with honours and a Masters in Business Administration.
