Sharif Lough Abdullah

Mr. Sharif Lough Abdullah is an Independent Director of MAAKL Mutual.
He was appointed to the Board on 5 January 2007 and is an Independent Investment Committee member of the unit trust funds under the management of the company.
He is also the Executive Director of Mediconsult Management Sdn Bhd.
He is also a member of the National Association of Goldsmiths London and Fellow Gemological Association of Great Britain.
In 1985, Mr Abdullah joined the Melewar Group as the Group Executive Director.
He was previously the Investment Committee Member of the unit trust funds under the management of MBf Unit Trust Management Berhad.
He is currently a Director of M3nergy Berhad and Ranhill Berhad, Independent Director of Eon Capital Bhd and also holds other directorship in several private companies.
He is actively involved in the conservation and adaptive re-use projects in Malaysia, as well as travel related activities.
He is one of the key figures behind the Central Market redevelopment project, and a committee member of “Visit Malaysia Year 1990” and other tourism related organisations.
He was involved in the listing of PWE Industries Berhad.
