Sue Cope

Ms. Sue Cope is a Principal at Benjamin F.
Edwards & Co., Inc. She began her career in the brokerage industry 27 years ago at A.G.
Edwards as a clerk in IRA Operations, where she specialized in IRA and Keogh plans.
In 1987, she joined as a sales assistant in the firm’s Frontenac, Missouri, branch.
As a sales assistant, she addressed client questions and assisted the financial consultants.
It was during this period that she met and began working with Benjamin F.
(Tad) Edwards IV, who was a financial consultant and eventually the assistant branch manager for that location.
In 2000, she was named a branch administrator for the firm’s Eastern Region, working closely with the regional manager to recruit financial consultants, open new branches, and facilitate the transitions when changes occurred.
Also an associate vice president, the position required that she not only have a keen understanding of the securities industry, but also of firm policies and procedures.
When Wachovia Securities (now Wells Fargo Advisors) acquired A.G.
Edwards in 2007, Ms. Cope was named a vice president of the combined firm and maintained her responsibilities for the Eastern Region, while adding oversight of the Northeastern Region, as well.
Ms. Cope currently holds several industry licenses, including her Series 7, 8, and 63.
