Thomas Caskey

Thomas Caskey is currently the Chief Executive Officer & Director at Brown Foundation Institute of Molecular Medicine since 2006.
He is also the Director-Research at Complete Genomics, Inc. since 2009.

In the past, Dr. Caskey served as the Chairman-Human & Molecular Genetics Department at Baylor College of Medicine.
He was also the Chairman of Genome Canada.
Furthermore, he held various director positions at Luminex Corp., Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Nordion (Canada), Inc., Argolyn Bioscience, Inc., Metabolon, Inc., Odyssey Thera, Inc., and the National Institutes of Health.
He was the Senior Vice President-Research at Merck Research Laboratories Massachusetts LLC and the Executive VP-Molecular Medicine & Genetics at Texas University of Health Center at San Antonio.
Additionally, he was the Head-Medical Genetics Sector at the National Heart, Lung & Blood Institute and the President of Merck Genome Research Institute.
Dr. Caskey obtained a doctorate degree from Duke University and an undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina.
