Akahi Capital Management's principal investment objective is to achieve superior risk adjusted returns by employing a fundamental, small-cap, long/short equity strategy with low net exposure. They may also invest in equity securities of non-U.S. companies, bonds, notes and other debt instruments, publicly traded and over-the-counter options, and other securities that are publicly traded. Akahi may also invest up to 10% of its assets, measured at the time of investment, in securities issued by non-public companies and other restricted securities. Akahi also engages in short selling purchases securities on margin, trades in publicly traded and over-the-counter options and engages in hedging and other investment strategies.
