Mr. Varun Saluja, CFA, is Junior Investment Analyst & Trader at SOL Capital Management Co. He is responsible for all trading activities at SOL and secondarily researches market conditions and opportunities.
Prior to joining SOL in July 2010, Mr. Saluja was a risk consultant in Houston at EDF Trading North American energy trading arm of the multi-national utilities company, EDF SA where he developed a non-linear risk model for trading vanilla and spread options.
From 2008 to 2009, he was a trading assistant at Chicago Trading Company (an options market-maker and proprietary trading company) in the Crude Oil Options group on the NYMEX, and later, in the Equity Indexes/ETF Options group on the AMEX.
Mr. Saluja holds a BA in Economics from Brandeis University with a minor in Business Studies.
He is a CFA Charterholder.
