Ms. Heather Pelant is a Principal at Blackrock Asset Management Canada Ltd. She joined Blackrock Asset Management in December 2009 as a result of the merger between Blackrock and Barclays Global Investors.
Prior to joining Blackrock, she spent four years as a Business Development Officer for iShares with Barclays in San Francisco.
Her extensive financial service industry experience includes representing Morgan Stanley Asset Management and the Morgan Stanley Consulting Services Group in Honolulu, Seattle, and San Francisco.
Born and raised in British Columbia, Ms. Pelant received her BA in Asian Studies at the University of Victoria.
Subsequently, she earned her MA in Asian Studies at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu, and graduated from the Stanford Inter-University Centre for Japanese language studies in Yokohama, Japan.
She is a Certified Investment Management Analyst and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary.
