Jacob Winiecki

Mr. Jacob Winiecki is Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Invested Development LLC.
Mr. Winiecki is an energy access specialist with over 7 years of experience developing innovative approaches to financing modern energy for bottom-of-the-pyramid consumers in sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.
Most recently, he was a Co-Founder of Simpa Networks, a Bangalore-based startup that sells solar on a pay-as-you-go basis to off-grid households and SMEs in rural India.
Prior to Simpa, Mr. Winiecki was a founding member of Arc Finance, developing and scaling energy-focused end-user finance programs within banks, microfinance institutions, and solar companies in East Africa, South Asia, and the Pacific regions.
Mr. Winiecki graduated from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs in 2005 with a Master’s of Public Administration degree and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Accounting from George Mason University.
