John H. Abbott

Mr. Abbott joined the firm in 1993 after having held executive positions with Bank of Boston and Chase Manhattan.
He worked in both the capital markets and investment counsel sectors.
He brings to Boston Financial Management his experience in portfolio management and leadership skills.
He is a graduate of Bowdoin College, the Williams College School of Banking, and Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University.
He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Jack is a member of the Investment Policy Committee and the Advisory Council at Boston Financial Management, the Boston Security Analysts Society and the Boston Estate Planning Council.
Mr. Abbott lives with his wife in Manchester, MA, where he is actively involved in several organizations.
Currently he serves as director of a community scholarship fund and as a founding member of his church’s endowment fund.
He is past Capital Campaign Vice Chairman and Class Agent for Bowdoin College and a past Director of Big Brother Association of Boston.
