Lloyd-Smith held several positions in the pharmaceutical industry.
He started his career as a Manager of Regulatory Affairs & Quality Assurance at DuPont de Nemours International SARL from 1984 to 1991.
He then worked as the Director of International Regulatory Affairs at DuPont Merck Pharmaceutical Co. from 1991 to 1994.
Malcolm later became the Vice President of Worldwide Regulatory Affairs at DuPont Pharmaceuticals Co. from 1994 to 2002.
He then joined Elan Pharmaceuticals LLC as the Vice President & Head of Global Regulatory Affairs from 2002 to 2008.
Malcolm also served as the Senior VP of Regulatory Affairs, Quality & Clinical at Mallinckrodt Hospital Products, Inc. from 2008 to 2014.
During this time, he also worked as the VP of Regulatory Affairs, Quality & Clinical at Cadence Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from 2012 to 2014.
His most recent position was as the Chief Regulatory Officer at Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. from 2014 to 2023.
Mr. Lloyd-Smith completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Leeds and his graduate degree at the University of Hertfordshire.
