Vakgebied

BAE Systems plc is een van 's werelds leiders in het ontwerpen, produceren en verkopen van defensie- en lucht- en ruimtevaartsystemen en uitrusting. De activiteit is voornamelijk georganiseerd rond drie families van producten en diensten:
- landuitrusting: gevechtsvoertuigen, tanks, raketwerpers, artilleriesystemen, munitie, enz;
- elektronische communicatie-, navigatie- en simulatiesystemen. De groep biedt ook scheepsreparatiediensten aan;
- luchtvaart- en scheepsuitrusting: vliegtuigen, waterscooters, onderzeeërs, enz.
De netto-omzet is als volgt geografisch verdeeld: het Verenigd Koninkrijk (26,2%), Europa (10,7%), de Verenigde Staten (42,2%), Saoedi-Arabië (10,6%), Qatar (2,8%), Midden-Oosten (0,9%), Australië (3,7%), Azië-Pacific (1,7%), Canada (0,7%) en overige (0,5%).
