LABORATORY CORPORATION OF AMERICA HOLDINGS Laboratory Corporation of America Holdings heeft aangekondigd dat de Raad van Bestuur van Labcorp op 5 juni 2023 Paul B. Rothman heeft benoemd tot lid van de Raad van Bestuur, met ingang van 6 juni 2023. Dr. Rothman, reumatoloog en moleculair immunoloog, is onlangs met pensioen gegaan na tien jaar als decaan van de medische faculteit van de Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine en CEO van Johns Hopkins Medicine, waarin hij toezicht hield op zowel het Johns Hopkins Health System als de School of Medicine. Voordat hij bij Johns Hopkins in dienst trad, bekleedde Dr. Rothman verschillende leidinggevende functies bij Columbia University en de University of Iowa.
Dr. Rothman behaalde een Bachelor in de biologie aan het Massachusetts Institute of Technology en een M.D. aan Yale University, en is lid van de National Academy of Medicine, de American Academy of Arts and Sciences, de American Association for the Advancement of Sciences, de American Society for Clinical Investigation en de Association of American Physicians. Dr. Rothman zit momenteel in de raad van bestuur van Merck and Co. en het King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Saoedi-Arabië.
