Mr. Burke was born John Donovan Burke in 1970 and was given the nickname J.
to avoid being confused with his father John.
He has lived in Greater Cincinnati all of his life and currently lives in Ft.
Wright, Kentucky.
In 1993, he graduated from Xavier University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and minor in Business.
From 1995 through 1998, he worked for the Cintas Corporation.
At Cintas, he worked as a Sales Support Specialist and as a Sales Representative.
As a Sales Representative, he earned the distinction of finishing in the Top Ten nationwide for the installation of a new business.
In March of 1998, Mr. Burke was hired to work at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and became an Investment Specialist.
He was responsible for providing clients with portfolio advice and for gathering an average of $7M in assets per quarter.
He also served as the Advisor Source Coordinator for the Cincinnati Branch.
The program’s aim was to help clients choose a discretionary financial advisor.
Under his direction, the program flourished to Top Ten status nationwide for branch conversions.
At Charles Schwab, he began studies for his Certified Financial Planner designation.
