Mr. Jon M.
Kmett, CPA, is a President & Chief Financial Officer at SFE Investment Counsel Inc. and a Board Member at Millennium House.
In addition to his current duties, Mr. Kmett’s primary interest is the investment and relationship management of his clients.
He has a devoted client base that benefits from his many years of investment experience and personal touch.
After joining SFE, he was instrumental in the company’s shift from a commission to fee-based business model.
This change was an important way to align SFE interests with client objectives and provide mutual prosperity.
Mr. Kmett is also an active member of the SFE's Investment Committee and is SFE’s board chairman, as well as a shareholder.
Mr. Kmett began his career as a tax CPA after graduation from USC.
His accounting background provides helpful counsel to clients with business, trust and retirement plan questions.
A proponent of giving back to society through volunteer work, he serves as chairman of the board of the Millennium Housing group and is a board member of Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters.
He previously served as board chair of Ability First and on the board of St. Vincent Medical Center Foundation.
Mr. Kmett received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting degree from the University of Southern California.
