Matthew Maurer

Matthew Maurer serves as a Principal Partner for WVV Capital, with an emphasis on HealthTech.
Matt was previously a Senior Director at Cigna where he drove interoperability strategy, government and industry standards development, and was part of a team that created new technology to drive a fundamental streamlining of utilization management.
In 2013, Matt founded Stroll Health, a Silicon Valley digital health company which reverse-engineered healthcare pricing models to allow patients and providers to find affordable in-network care.
Stroll was named the best experience in America for choosing care by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, was recognized as 2016’s Top Enterprise Health Startup by Health 2.0, and exited to eviCore (now a subsidiary of Cigna NYSE: CI).
Matt’s tenure in digital health also includes time with the NSF-sponsored Lean Launchpad for Life Sciences at UCSF, UC Berkeley SkyDeck, and the Texas Medical Center’s TMCx program (X4).
Matt was awarded the Alan K.
Ruvelson Fellowship under the RainSource Capital angel network, and is a graduate of the John D.
Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences.
Matt also graduated with honors from the University of North Dakota, during which time he served as president and managing director of the Dakota Venture Group - the first student-managed venture fund in the world.
