Mr. Richard T.
Burns, CFA MBA, is an Analyst at Stone Harbor Investment Partners LP.
He joined the firm in September 2011.
He has over 35 years of industry experience.
Prior to joining Stone Harbor, Mr. Burns served as a Bank Loan Salesman and a Vice President at Gleacher & Company.
Prior to his time at Gleacher & Company, he served as a High Yield Analyst, a Director of Credit Research, and ultimately as a High Yield Portfolio Manager at Prudential Financial.
Additionally, he served as an Analyst in the Treasury and Controller’s Departments at the Colgate-Palmolive Company.
He began his career as a Supervisor at Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. Mr. Burns received a BS in Accounting from the University of Rhode Island and an MBA in Finance from St. John’s University Graduate School of Business Administration.
He is a member of the CFA Institute.
