Ranganathan served as a Director at Indian Oil Corp.
Ltd. He then worked as an Independent Non-Executive Director at Indraprastha Gas Ltd. from 2011 to 2017.
Prior to that, he was a Professor of Economics & Energy at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore.
