Founded in 1986, the National Chamber of Exporters of Sri Lanka is the sole trade chamber exclusively dedicated to the export sector, serving exporters of products and services as well as suppliers to the export industry. The private company is based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The chamber represents a broad spectrum of enterprises, from SMEs to large companies, and offers member services such as issuance of certificates of origin and the certificate of ethical trading, which certifies adherence to ethical business practices, good governance, environmental protection, and sustainable development. It supports exporters through training programs, advisory and consultancy platforms, organizes annual export awards, promotes ethical and sustainable business practices, and publishes resources like the "Exporter Magazine." The chamber also runs initiatives such as the aspiring exporters program and the women’s wing to empower women entrepreneurs in international trade. Strategic partnerships with organizations enable the chamber to provide professional export-related training and promote sustainable production methods.
