Kent Saathoff

Kent Saathoff has been Vice President of Systems Operations for Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. since 2006.
Prior to his current position at ERCOT, he was Director of System Operations in 2002, Director of Technical Operations in 2000, and Transmission Market Operations Manager in 1996.
Mr. Saathoff joined the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) as Principal Engineer in 1988.
He joined the City of Austin Electric Department as Manager of Generation Planning in 1986.
Previously, Mr. Saathoff worked at the Public Utility Commission of Texas (PUCT).
He began his career at Houston Lighting and Power Co. (now CenterPoint Energy, Inc.).
Mr. Saathoff received a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
He is a Registered Professional Engineer.
