Lex Kerkovius

Mr. Kerkovius has a long and outstanding track record in the investment industry.
In 1980 he received his Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance from the University of Calgary.
He graduated at the top of his class and was the recipient of the Faculty of Management Gold Medal.
Mr. Kerkovius began his investment career as an Investment Administrator with Royal Trust in 1980.
He was soon promoted to Investment Officer and was later responsible for managing the company’s Edmonton branch.
In 1986, Mr. Kerkovius received his Chartered Financial Analyst designation and moved to the Investment Management Division with the Alberta Treasury.
His responsibilities progressed from those of a Securities Analyst to those of an Assistant Portfolio Manager and Senior Equity Analyst.
In 1994 he joined Levesque Beaubien Geoffrion in Corporate Finance.
When he left Levesque he was the Senior Vice President responsible for all corporate finance activities in Western Canada.
In 2000 he moved to PricewaterhouseCoopers as a Director of Corporate Finance and Investment Banking.
After leaving PricewaterhouseCoopers, Mr. Kerkovius applied his passion for research in private practice, and later to directing the investment research operations for Overlord Financial Inc. In 2004 he joined McLean & Partners.
He is the past President of the Edmonton Society of Financial Analysts and a long-time member of the Calgary CFA society.
