For the past 40 years Ira Mondry has held senior management positions in retail, venture capital, hospitality and commercial real estate businesses.
Ira's primary areas of responsibility with M Group include property acquisition, deal structure, financing, raising of equity and relationship management of M Group's operating partners.
Prior to helping found M Group in 1993, Ira held a variety of executive positions with Highland Superstores, Inc., a chain of consumer electronics stores, including Director of Real Estate, VP of Stores and President and CEO.
When Ira joined Highland in 1980, the Company had 15 stores with revenues of $115 million.
During his tenure with Highland, Ira helped take the company public in 1985, with Goldman Sachs as its lead underwriter, and eventually grew Highland to a chain of 92 stores in 11 states with more than 10,000 employees and with revenues of $1 billion.
Ira serves on the International Board of the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel as well as the Board of the Great Lakes Chamber Music Festival.
Ira received a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan in 1976 and a J.D.
degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 1980.
