Max Elbin

Max is a native of Washington, DC and has over 20 years of investment and financial management experience.
He is a 1976 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he earned a B.A. in Economics and Political Science.
His investment career began in 1983 as a retail stockbroker with Johnston, Lemon & Co. of Washington, DC, where he was responsible for managing both individual and corporate assets.
He has extensive experience in the equity and fixed income markets, as well as managing assets for corporate pension plans and individual retirement accounts.
His background also includes his position of Portfolio Manager with Scott and Stringfellow, as well as a project director with Kestler Financial Group of Leesburg, Va, where he supervised the development of the Moneyguard program.
In addition, he spent five years with the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) as a Business Development Specialist, focusing on small and medium size technology companies.
He has been involved with a wide array of charitable and civic groups, including volunteer activities with the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Washington as well as DC Cares, Habitat for Humanity and the Wounded Warrior project.
His hobbies include golf, cycling and reading.
He resides in Ashburn, Virginia with his wife and daughter.
