Prior to joining Finaventures, Mr. Nihalani founded Accelerated Networks in 1996.
Under his leadership, in just four years, the company received $88 million dollars in private capital.
The company raised another $72 million from a successful IPO in June 2000.
Prior to founding Accelerated Networks, Mr. Nihalani was with ACT Networks which went public in 1995.
He was pivotal in driving ACT's growth from a start-up company to a successful publicly traded company with a valuation of $500 million.
Prior to ACT, Mr. Nihalani was Director of Product Development at MICOM Systems, Inc. (Nortel Networks) for five years, where he was responsible for developing Statistical Multiplexers, Protocol Converter products and X.25 PADS.
Before MICOM, he was with Litton Data Systems and Documation Inc.
Mr. Nihalani has an Electrical Engineering degree from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, and an MSEE and MBA from the Florida Institute of Technology.
